Comparative Analysis of Performance of RCC Framed Building with Flexible and Rigid Slabs under Seismic Loads

A reinforced concrete slab is one of the most important components in a building. Geometry of a reinforced framed building plays an important role in its structural behavior under lateral loads. The objective of the present study is to perform the critical study of three RCC framed buildings, to perform the parametric and comparative analysis of structure for rigid and flexible condition. A total of 18 number of RCC framed structure with different number of floors has been considered for this study. The material has been kept constant for all the cases. Percentage of steel in columns, area of steel in columns and section of the columns has been compared. Maximum deflection, support reaction, bending moments, shear forces for both rigid and flexible slab for all the cases has been also calculated for lateral loads as per IS 4998-1: 1992 , IS 1893: 2002 & IS 4928: 1993 using STAAD.Pro V8i software. Priority based AODV Routing under Weight based Clustered MANET

Designing a routing protocol for MANET is challenging due to the infrastructure less and dynamic changing topology. The lack of centralized coordinator and limited resources in MANET degrade the Quality of Service provisioning and there for routing, process. AODV routing does not provide any local route repairing mechanism and QoS support. In this paper, AODV routing are modified with a weight based clustering technique, where a weight value is used for defining roles of nodes in network. Routing process is improving with priority where it is calculated based on available bandwidth. In the proposed method a local route repairing method is incorporated which reduces the routing overhead and increase the network performance. A route node is selecting based on the available bandwidth that included in the modified RREQ packet of AODV and if a node is failed, next highest priority node will select as the route node. This paper work is devoted for the design and simulation of Single-Precision Floating Point Multiplier for signed and unsigned numbers using DADDA architecture. The multiplication operation is present in most parts of a digital system or digital computer, most notably in signal processing, graphics and scientific computation. With advances in technology, several techniques have been proposed to design multipliers, which offer high speed, low power consumption and requires lesser area. Thus making them suitable for various high speeds, low power compact VLSI implementations. The Design employs Combination of different adders and fast Compressors. The Carry Save Compressors (CSC) tree and the final Carry Propagate adder (CLA) chain is used to speed up the multiplier operation. Since signed and unsigned multiplication operation is performed by the same multiplier unit the required hardware and the chip area reduces and this in turn reduces power dissipation and cost of a system. Verilog coding of multiplier for signed and unsigned numbers using DADDA Algorithm for 32X32 bit multiplication following the Standard IEEE Format and their FPGA implementation by Xilinx Synthesis Tool on Spartan 6 kit have been done. It is estimated that the rate of usage is double for every 10 years. The Plastic usage is large in consumption and one of the largest plastic wastes is polyethylene (PE). The utilization of earth based clay material resulted in resource depletion and environmental degradation. As amount of clay required for brick is huge, in this project these waste plastics are effectively utilized in order to reduce the land space required to dump these wastes. Polyethylene (PE) bags are cleaned and added with fine aggregate ,Fly ash, Bagasse, GGBS, Quarry Dust at various ratios to obtain high strength bricks that possess thermal and sound insulate ion properties. Presently waste plastics are effectively converted into useful building materials like bricks, using either single origin plastic waste material or a mixture of different plastic wastes. Global Positioning System is the most import ant contribution in determining position of user and in direction-finding him to his target. This system uses satellites to triangulate the position of the device. Though this system has made a good impression in terms of accuracy and is the preferred location based system for outdoor positioning, when it comes to indoor environment, GPS has proved to be incompetent. The reason for its inadequacy is that in order for GPS to perform a triangulation, the appliance needs to be in line-of-sight from the satellites. Moreover, GPS system has a low eminence which make it not appropriate for indoor areas. Therefore, when it comes to indoor positioning system, other alternatives such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID and Infrared are more pleasing. This project proposes to implement a mobile application which will be able to estimate the position of a user within a building using WiFi technology. Similarly two tests such as Mann-Kendall test and Sperman Rank Order Correlation (SROC) test were also used for trend detection. It will leads to the problem of misalignment & inaccuracy. And also there is no provision for avoiding the misalignment & inaccuracy in operation. Inaccuracy will increase the rejection of frames. If it is need to rework the rejected frames, then it becomes essential to design the special purpose machine. This new machine will increases the machining cost of stator case frames. So this fixture useful for machining more than one stator case frames with less work setup time & reduced material handling also. The fixture consists of different spigots which are provided on spigot plate to accommodate different stator case frames. Controlled Multiphase Oxidation for Continuous Production of Fine Chemicals

The feasibility of an integrated continuous biphasic oxidation process was studied, incorporating (i) electrochemical generation of an oxidant, (ii) membrane emulsification and an Oscillatory Flow Reactor (OFR) to facilitate mass-transfer in a biphasic reaction system and (iii) product extraction to enable regeneration of the oxidant. The biphasic, organic solvent-free dihydroxylation of styrene by ammonium peroxodisulfate solutions (including electrochemically generated peroxodisulfate) was investigated as a model reaction, both in batch and in an OFR. Heating of peroxodisulfate in a strongly acidic solution was demonstrated to be essential to generate the active oxidant (Caro’s acid). Membrane emulsification allowed mass-transfer limitations to be overcome, reducing the time scale of styrene oxidation from several hours in a conventional stirred tank reactor to less than 50 min in a dispersion cell. The influence of droplet size on overall reaction rate in emulsions was studied in detail using fast image capturing technology. Generation of unstable emulsions was also demonstrated during the oxidation in OFR and product yields >70% were obtained. However, the high-frequency/high-displacement oscillations necessary for generation of fine droplets violated the plug flow regime. DT should be operated carefully for the effective distribution of electricity to the loads. The cost of DT is very high. So its lifetime is extended by proper monitoring that greatly useful in the electricity delivery in vast distribution system without any installation of new transformer. The condition of DT is assessed by monitoring various parameters include load current, over voltage, oil level and oil temperature. As the implementation of transformer condition monitoring system through the Internet of Things (IoT) connects Micro Controller Unit (MCU) interfaced to sensors and motor with Wi-Fi modem. This designed system is fixed to the transformer. The parameters values are collected by sensors and circuit are recorded by the MCU and displayed on the LCD. The data is communicated to the server webpage through Wi-Fi module by the MCU periodically. The server is designed to check for unusual condition in the DT. Then the server will send Short Message Service (SMS) to designated mobile phone of the lineman if there any unusual condition exists in the transformer. Automatically oil is filled to the transformer by using the motor when the oil level low is noticed as unusual condition. Hence the proposed methodology focuses on developing a tool for behavioral analysis which can predict the personality traits automatically with the aid of a computer without the human intervention. There is a variety of materials that bioplastics can be composed of, including: starches, cellulose, or other biopolymers. In this paper we are dealing with the making of bioplastics from cellulose and for cellulose we will use waste newspapers as our raw material. In this process cellulose is taken out from waste newspapers by decomposing them. Then cellulose is decomposed into starch/glucose by process called Cellulolysis which is done with the help of enzymes. Finally, bioplastic is prepared in lab by starch/glucose.

This work presents the effect of various wear environments like 20% soil & 80% sand and 40% soil & 60% sand on as received and carburized mild steel sample at different load like 75N, 200N & 375N and at different tempering temperature like 200ºC, 250ºC & 300ºC. The mild steel sample was carburized at 950ºC. The heat treatment after carburization has been acknowledge that at some instant it improving the various properties of mild steel. The mechanical properties and wear behaviour of mild steel samples carburized at temperature of 950ºC and tempered at different tempering temperature of 200ºC, 250ºC & 300ºC have been studied and it is observed that the sample with heat treatment improves the hardness, tensile strength and wear resistance of mild steel. For this experiment firstly the mild steel samples are carburized at temperature 950ºC than soaking for two hour and then it is tempered at different temperature range of 200ºC, 250ºC & 300ºC for 1h, 1.5h, 2h. After this the carburized and tempered mild steel samples are subjected for different kind of test such as abrasive wear test at different load like 75N, 200N & 375N, and tensile test. the result of these experiment shows that the carburized and tempered process greatly improve the mechanical and wear properties like hardness, tensile strength and wear resistance and these properties increases with increase in tempering temperature. First designing of the wrench was carried out and then the analysis. The material of the tool is Aluminum alloy T6-7075 and EN-24 for its strength and low cost. This system consists of two mechanisms i.e self-made air compressor system and pneumatic braking system. Automatic braking system use the infrared sensor (IR), which is used to sense the vehicle coming from front of our vehicle and which is responsible for accident. Then sensor sends feedback signal to engine through the relay control to stop the working of engine. During the working of Automatic braking system simultaneously the driver also try to stop the vehicle by applying brake pedal. Limit switch is placed below the brake pedal which activates the pneumatic braking system and brake to reduce the damage to vehicle which occurs in accidents. The proposed system segments the pancreas from the abdomen CT scan images with the new set of algorithms. This system uses the macro super-pixels for fast and deep labeling, segmentation process and proposes an automated bottom-up approach for pancreas segmentation in abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans. The earlier work on organ segmentation achieved only low accuracies when comparing to organs like the heart, liver, pancreas, etc. In this proposed system a complete self-learning deep analysis method is presented for pancreas segmentation. This utilizes the abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans as input. The method developed a segmentation technique by sorting image patches at different resolutions and cascading macro super-pixels. Macro superpixel segmentation, grouping both strength and likelihood features to form observed statistics in pouring random forest frameworks. At last effortless connectivity based post-processing were done. The proposed system utilizes some histogram and texture features. The method generates dynamic cascaded and macro super-pixel segmentation. For Fast organ detection SIFT (Scalable Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm is proposed. In this project the design of high gain dc-dc boost converter is used for the solar photovoltaic applications. When the dc input is taken from the solar system, it is provided as an input to the dc-dc boost converter. Since the voltage from the solar system will have many fluctuations and it can’t be directly provided to the load system. So a high gain dc-dc boost converter is used for avoiding the fluctuations and for boosting the voltage. Two MOSFET switches were used in the converter for boosting the voltage. The desired output voltage can be obtained on the load side by using this converter. If there was any low voltage supply on the input side due to changes in weather condition, then the desired voltage cannot be obtained on the load side. At that condition, by varying the duty cycle of the MOSFET switches to less than 0.5 the boosting operation will takes place and the fixed voltage can be obtained on the load side.
