Abstract |
|
In today's computing world, moving oracle databases across unlike operating systems has become necessary with the exponential increasing data. Migration enables to transfer data from source database to destination database. By using Oracle GoldenGate a clone database is created to offload conversions, installations and committed transaction. GoldenGate also manages phased or partial migrations by keeping the transactions sync. All the installations and upgradations during migration are done under human observations and manual intervention is required for successful results of migration. By using Process and Experiment Automation and Realtime Language, which is a processor independent programming language used for multitasking, we will develop a powerful script to perform migration without manual intervention using Oracle Golden Gate with taking into consideration to avoid downtime. |
