Abstract |
|
This study examines the method of intentionally producing roughness with repeated-ribs, or simply rib roughness, on the absorber plate of a solar air heater (SAH). Rib roughness might be transverse, circular, triangular, or rectangular, among other things. These ribs are thoroughly inspected to determine whether there has been any advancement in design and, as a result, whether there has been any change in results. Many of the elements that can influence SAH efficiency have been explored in this article. This review focuses on the physics of heat transfer and fluid movement along these ribs. Recent advances in SAH repeated-rib roughness have been comprehensively examined. |
