Abstract |

In drop forging a lot of force is required to obtain the required shape of product in accurate size. Here the impact force applied (Fi) mainly depends on the density (Ï) of material to be deformed, volume of the product to be deformed (V), flowability (μ) of material to be deformed, temperature (T) of material and time (t) etc. Besides it here the impact force applied also depends on the hardness and softness of the material to be deformed. To obtain the soft and well defined structure of the material the heat treatment processes like annealing, normalizing may be used. |
