Abstract |
|
Cable stayed bridge is the demand of every nation and it could be achieved with use of enhanced materials. Generally, cable supported bridges comprise both suspension and cable-stayed bridge. Cable supported bridges are flexible in behaviour. These flexible systems are susceptible to the effects of wind and earthquake loads. Here focus is given on the previous studies done on the static and dynamic analysis of cable stayed bridge having different shapes of pylons. The study reveals the following points concluded from the previous studies such as the selection of the shape of Pylon, spacing of cables, arrangement of cables, the inclination of pylon legs, effects of spacing of intermediate supports, non-linear dynamic and static response of the structure which needs to be considered for the design of Cable Stayed Bridge. |
