Abstract |
|
Novel and efficient inorganic semiconductor nano materials are gaining much attention in recent years due to their potential applications in photovoltaic devices, luminescent phosphors biochemical sensors etc. Nano-electronics has focused on manipulating the structural, optical, and magnetic and photoluminescence properties of such nano -structured materials for developing nano electronic and opto-electronic devices. CdSe nanoparticles exhibit wide band visible range emission and its photoemission characteristics can be tuned with size. This makes it a prospective candidate for many optoelectronic applications. Doping of CdSe nanoparticles with transition and rare earth elements modifies as well as enhances its optical, electrical and magnetic properties. This review provides a study of the synthesis of different pure and doped CdSe nanoparticles, their properties and applications in different fields. |
