Abstract

The economic dispatch means to find the generation of various units of various power plants at the same time the total demand and losses at any instant must be met by the total generation. The main objective is to reduce the cost of generating unit.The MATLAB program was developed some algorithm to solve the economic dispatch of an n-unit plant they are lambda iteration method, bat algorithm, dynamic programming method, PSO, quadrature programming. In this paper the QPSO is implemented to solve the economic load dispatch problem.
