Abstract |
|
The well-known method used for the detection of breast cancer is mammography. The mammogram images are of poor contrast and noisy. To enhance the quality of the mammograms the Robust polynomial filter is used in this paper. It is the combination of Type-0 and Type-II polynomial filter. The segmentation technique is then applied for the separation of tumor region. The segmentation is performed using Marker controlled watershed segmentation. The pectoral muscles are removed from the image, the tumor region is segmented. It helps to detect the breast cancer effectively. |
