Scriptless timing attack is a Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) based side channel attack in which the attacker attempts to compromise the web privacy of user. Attacker analyzes the time taken to render the image on the victim’s web browser. It is based on the fact that rendering process of the resources loaded from remote website is delayed than the resource is loaded from local cache. The attacker uses Cascading Style Sheet features and distinguishes that whether victim have visited the target website or not. |
