Abstract |

Road damage such as potholes are a common source of accidents, damage to vehicles and inefficiency in transportation systems. Current methods of road inspection involve undertaking field surveys that are time-consuming and prone to human error. Here, we propose the use of drone-based pothole detection system using Artificial Intelligence (AI). We use a drone equipped with a camera to fly over roads and take images of the road surface that can be processed using computer vision and deep learning techniques to detect potholes. |
