Abstract

In present study, the synthesis of series of 2-phenyl-5-(pyridin-3-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole. These Analogous were obtained from Nicotinoyl hydrazide with aromatic aldehydes in gridding process. The Nicotinoyl hydrazide can be prepared by Nicotinoyl chloride with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol at reflux. Thionyl chloride treated with Nicotinic acid in presence of DCM at 10-15°C. The chemical structures of titled compounds were analyzed by 1HNMR, 13CNMR and LCMS. All these tested compounds were investigated for their antibacterial activities against bacterial strains i.e. S.aureus, B. subtilis, E.coli and P. aeruginosa.
