Abstract

The study conducted dynamic analyses of various configurations of Hybrid Outrigger Systems, encompassing different models of outriggers, to comprehensively evaluate and compare their response under seismic loading conditions. This study presents a comprehensive time-history analysis of a 40-storey building subjected to three distinct ground motion records: El Centro, Bhuj, and Mexico. The dynamic behavior of the structure is rigorously simulated, accounting for nonlinear effects to assess parameters such as story drift, lateral displacement, story shear, and overturning moment. The comparative analysis aids engineers and designers in understanding the effectiveness of different ground motion records and informs decision-making regarding seismic design and risk mitigation strategies for tall buildings.
