Abstract |

Diagrid structural systems are becoming increasingly popular in high-rise buildings due to their superior lateral load resistance and aesthetic appeal. However, the optimum angle of a diagrid in structure is critical to building's performance under different loading condition. This research aims to find the optimum angle for a diagrid structure that minimizes lateral displacement, story-drift, base shear and overturning moment, while considering both open and closed section shear walls at the core. Analysis was done using ETABS software, considering loads as per Indian Standards. In addition, this research involves comparative analysis of frame-shear wall structural system and diagrid structural system in terms of lateral displacement, story drift, base shear, overturing moment and material cost of superstructure. |
