Abstract

Concrete is most widely used construction materials due to its strength, permanence, and durability. To meet the growing infrastructure and industrial needs, huge quantities of concrete is required, which in turn means, the large volumes of natural resources and raw materials are being used for concrete production around the world. In view of reducing the overall weight of the structure and inhibiting the fire resistance properties, Aerogels can be incorporated in the concrete. The present work is to study the strength characteristics of cement mortar with different percentages of Aerogels.
