Abstract |
|
Now a day's plastic consumption is very high in our day to day life. The amounts of plastics consumed annually have been increasing steadily and also the Concrete usage also can increase due to increasing of infrastructure. The huge concrete demand leads to tremendous need for aggregate resources, huge quantities of construction and demolition waste are generated every year in developing countries like India. The disposal of this waste and plastic is very serious problem because it requires huge amounts for its disposal. This study is a part of a comprehensive program where in experimental investigation have been carried out to assess the effect of partial replacement of coarse aggregate by demolished waste on workability and compressive strength and also the waste plastic bottles can also be used as a fibers and it influences the mechanical behavior of concrete. The results of this study have highlighted the reduction of plastic waste and also the re uses the aggregates which can be formed after the demolition of concrete. |
