This study provides an overview of the phases, methodologies, and datasets used in contemporary Facial Emotion Recognition (FER). FER has been known for decades and is an important issue in computer vision and machine learning. Automatic FER can be used in a variety of settings, including healthcare, education, criminal investigation, and Human Robot Interface (HRI). The goal of this study is to grasp the fundamentals of FER and compare recent studies. |
