Groundwater constitutes major source of drinking water and more in rural areas of our country. India is facing the major problem of drinking water due to quality mainly in the rural areas. Quality is major when compared to the quantity of water. Thus, provision of safe drinking water to the entire rural population assumes a primary and essential task. Among the groundwater quality parameters fluoride is the main constituent which affect the quality of groundwater which originates in subsurface aquifers in different rock types. Fluorite and apatite are the principal bearers of fluoride and are found in granite and granite gneiss. Fluoride had both advantages and disadvantages on the human body depending upon the limit of intake. Below the permissible limit is safe it is 1.5mg/l. Beyond this limit it causes dental and skeletal fluorosis. Dental fluorosis means the enamel part over the teeth get effected and depending on the intensity we can observe white patches on the teeth in starting stage then yellowish color marks appeared on the teeth then finally the teeth contains brown patches. Skeletal fluorosis means the bones get deformed and unable to walk properly. The present study aimed to identify the fluoride effected zones and areas to construct rain water harvesting structures like check dams, desilting of tank, percolation tanks, nala bands, recharge pit etc. for diluting the fluoride concentration in groundwater of Narketpally mandal, Nalgonda district, Telangana State, India. Fluoride analysis both from the surface and groundwater sources like open wells, bore wells, dug wells etc. was carried out to estimate fluoride levels and correlated with geology, geomorphology to identify the low and high fluoride groundwater zones. Various thematic maps such as Geology, Geomorphology, Soil, Slope, Land use and Land cover etc. were prepared using remote sensing data of high resolution. These layers along with geology, drainage and slope were integrated using GIS techniques to derive suitable water harvesting sites. The rain water harvesting structures are constructed on the upstream of the drinking water thus infiltration takes place more and also stores water these waters can be used for the agricultural purpose and also for other purposes depending up on the usage. The purpose of this study is to identify and assess long-term changes of land use in catchment area and its impact on command irrigated area of tank which falls under Lower Krishna Sub-basin of Krishna Basin. The land use pattern is changing year to year. Land use changes can be identified from multi-temporal land use classifications. The land use maps of different years are prepared by digital image classification method using satellite imageries of Landsat 5 & 8. Land use of different classes is calculated using the classified multi-temporal imageries. By calculating the areas of assigned classes, we can determine the changes that have undergone in the catchment area over a period of time. The objective of this paper is to develop a system which can early predict the likelihood of diabetes in patients with maximum accuracy. The dimension of a WR62 waveguide is 0.622 × 0.311 inches (1.524 × 0.787 cm). The aperture of the horn antenna is 6.234 × 4.868 inches (15.91 × 12.37 cm). Neck to mouth (flange) length of the horn is 32 cm. Maximum gain of the designed horn antenna is more than 25 dB. Water hammer is a phenomenon that happens in closed conduits when the water velocity and flow changes because of the sudden closed. This phenomenon can cause the bursting of pipe by the very high fluidal pressure. The cases of bursting pipe often happen on the long dimensional pipes such as penstock that distributes water from reservoir to the power house in hydroelectric power plants system. To reduce the water hammer effect in the penstock, surge tank is used as an energy reducer. Surge tank would be used as a physical model to simulate hydraulic condition. The observation comprises of water level and mass oscillation in surge tank after the valve is closed rapidly. Fluctuation of mass oscillation in surge tank is temporary until the water level reaches its steady state level. Surge tanks have important role in the functionality of HE plant as they balance the pressure variation in cases of sudden rise or decrease. They are a massive construction that can receive the water in several cases. The cost of these tanks varies according to several factors such as dimensions, construction and maintaining works and shape. Common Effluent Treatment Plants Overview & Alternate Method of Effluent Discharges

During the past 30 years the industrial section in India has quadrupled in size simultaneously the major waste generators in India including the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide paint, Dye, petroleum, fertilizer , asbestos, caustic soda, inorganic chemicals and general engineering industries.
The bulk of industrial pollution in India is caused by the small and medium scale industries (SMIs) sector. A small scale unit is defined as any industry whose plant and machinery are valued at less than 1 crore (Government is planning to increase this to 5 crore).Though quantity of industrial waste generated by individual SMIs may not be large it aggregates to be as large percentage of the total since almost 3 million SMIs are widely scattered throughout the country. SMls account for over 40 percent of the total industrial output in the country and generate over 44 percent of hazardous wastes alone as compared to 13 percent generated by the large scale industry (Gulati 1997; B.M. Prasad,) Also SMls normally do not budget for resources to meet regulatory standard. The rate of growth of SMls has also exceeded that of the industrial sector as a whole.
Government policies have been biased toward small industries as employment generators even though small industries are highly polluting the SSI policy has no thought on the environmental planning. Promotion of small enterprise as widely seen as a desirable way to achieve sustainable development for that result however, their pollution problems, amount others, must be overcome. To deal with the effluent in these SSIs the concept of Common Effluent Treatment plan (CETP) was introduced with a hope that not only it would help the industries in pollution abatement but also as a step towards the clean environment.
Accordingly the ministry of Environment and Forests instructed various state pollution control Boards, to examine the possibilities of establishing CETPs in various industrial estates in the respective states. Even central assistance up to 25 percent of the total cost of the CETP is being provided as a grant to the common effluent treatment plant on the condition that the State Governments would give a matching contribution. The remaining cost have to be met by equity contribution by the industries and the loans from financial institutions.

Hazards have various origins: natural (geological, hydro, meteorological, and biological) or human (environmental or technological) actions. Risk is the probability of adverse effects or predicted losses (deaths, accidents, properties, livelihoods, disrupted economic activity or damaged environment) arising from interactions between natural or man-made hazards and vulnerable populations.
