Abstract |
Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative force with applications far beyond cryptocurrencies. This paper provides an in-depth examination of blockchain technology, including its fundamental principles, evolution, and various applications. We investigate the fundamental concepts of distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic security that make blockchain a trustworthy and tamper-resistant system. Furthermore, we look at its applications in finance, healthcare, supply chain management, and government, emphasizing the impact of decentralization, transparency, and smart contracts. Furthermore, this study sheds light on current and future research directions in blockchain technology. We discuss scalability, interoperability, and sustainability challenges and opportunities. |
