Abstract

The main objective of pneumatic material handling system is to develop effective and efficient solution of carrying a goods over the stairs, while shifting a heavy load to upstairs. The conventional hand trolley reduces its effectiveness over stairs and uneven surfaces. Pneumatic stair climbing trolley easily handles heavy load of material, due to reciprocating action of double acting pneumatic actuator trolley easily climb over the stairs. This trolley gives satisfactory results for the load of material up to 70kg. The need of such system in all the places like libraries, hospitals, apartments and many other places where material handling over the stairs is major concern. The use of this stair climbing material handling system requires less human effort as compared to the conventional way of handling of material. It also ensures the safety of labour and minimize the time of material handling.
