Abstract |

From the industrial requirement, there are many types of roof trusses used for industrial shed. In this paper, four types of trusses are selected for comparative analysis i.e. fan truss, fink truss, Howe truss, Pratt truss. These selected trusses have tested in STAAD Pro V8i. Selected types of truss are designed for same span, same loading and same sectional properties for different geometry. In the present study, analytical result of four different steel trusses models are compared using STAAD Pro V8i. Comparison of different parameters has been made in the form of graphical representation. The present paper shows the comparative graph of shear force, bending moment, displacement, support reaction and sectional weight against loading action and weight of all four models. The results are compared to obtain the economical and most efficient truss model. |
