Abstract

For desired shapes and sizes of any material, machining plays a major role. For enhanced machinability characteristics, materials property is customized and used accordingly. For superior machinability along with effective machining of any material, a non-conventional process Abrasive Water Jet (AWJ) technique is used extensively. In this paper a comprehensive report has been presented in the light of research work undertaken in the field of abrasive water jet cutting. To improve the productivity of machining the parameters of AWJ needs to be altered regularly. Various research has been carried out computationally and experimentally to bridge the research gap in the metal machining process through non-conventional machining technology.
