Abstract

Before the invention of forklift most of the factories, industries and warehouses used ropes, cables and pulleys to move heavy crates, boxes and objects. Now a days workers are trained how to use or handle the forklift to load heavy instruments. The present work is concerned with design and manufacturing of a Portable Forklift which can be used for various purpose in domestic as well as industrial places. It can we used for were the access of limited space. Its for versatile task such as factory and construction sites. Portable Forklift is great tool for ware houses it can be help them move heavy object without having lots of manpower. At present, different kinds of forklift is available, according to the lifting weight of forklift is divided into small tonnage (0.5t) and (1t), middle tonnage (2t and 3t) and large tonnage (5t and above). There are many types of fork lift such as Internal combustion forklift powered by gasoline, diesel and electrical forklifts. Our device fork lift based on machenism of actuator. Improvement in forklift is really needed to make it more efficient, user friendly, and practical to use, & most importantly high safety features. The device have greater use in the transport of machined jobs, heavy load device and carrying goods in fabrication plants. So it designed user friendly in-plant goods carrier system.
