-Rajiv Gajbhiye ; Dr. Harikumar Naidu; Pratik Ghutke
This paper presents the need of Speed Control in Induction Motors. Out of the various methods of controlling Induction motors, V/f Control has proven to be the most versatile. The overall scheme of implementing V/f control has been presented. One of the basic requirements of this scheme is the PWM Inverter. In this, PWM Inverters have been modelled and their outputs fed to the Induction Motor drives. The uncontrolled transient and steady state response of the Induction Motor has been obtained and analyzed. A MATLAB code was developed to successfully implement Open Loop V/f Control on a PWM-Inverter fed 3-phase Induction Motor, and the Torque was found to be constant for various rotor speeds. This was followed by a MATLAB model for Closed-Loop V/f Control on a PWM-Inverter fed 3-phase Induction Motor. It was observed that using a Closed-Loop scheme with a Proportional Controller gave a very superior way of controlling the speed of an Induction motor while maintaining a constant maximum torque. Energy Harvesting using Wireless Powered Communication Network
-Vinod V. Lonkar ; Jitendra Kumar Mishra
Wireless powered communication networking (WPCN) could be a new networking paradigm wherever the battery of wireless communication devices will be remotely replenished by using microwave wireless power transfer (WPT) technology. In this paper, we performed the network and K wireless nodes. The wireless nodes have energy harvesting skills and may harvest power from hybrid access point (H-AP) and alternative nodes in numerous allotted time slots. The created network send and receive the data which is compared through the energy monitoring system. The output of compared energy is low enough then goes towards the energy harvester. We recommend two new schemes serial energy harvesting (SEH) & circular energy harvesting CEH for the WPC that perform powered harvesting among peer nodes. Inside the first scheme, each node harvests power from peer nodes transmitting in the preceding time slots, at the same time as each wireless node harvests power from all nodes in the second scheme. Heuristic recursive optimization algorithm used to search optimum solutions of two optimizations based on different working modes. The network has reasonable energy gain with the aid of SEH with fewer process quality. Otherwise, the network provides greater feasible output performance, as soon as it adopts CEH scheme. -Mahesh Chimaji Waghmare ; Yashpal Gogia
internet of thing is revolutionizing the agriculture industry and enabling the farmers to contend with enormous challenges they face new creative IOT applications are tending to the cost adequacy of milk generation. Farmers themselves are recognizing that they can capitalize on the opportunity IOT presents to capture real economic value. The dairy farming is important business of Indian farmer. Dairies collect milk from farmer everyday & payments for this milk are done according to the rates per liters. This rate depends on various factors like FAT, CLR & SNF of the milk, But mainly on the fat in the milk. We are developing a system that will measure these parameters. This is only recently that automation has been introduced into agriculture. Thus the spot calculation of fat present in milk will play the vital role in the business development of farmers. Also the system which farmers can operate without experts from industry will help to increase profit of farmers. This paper describes one of the applications of embedded system or optical system. It is Small compact, embedded in a single unit, requires less power and measure milk parameters like FAT, CLR SNF (Solid but Not FAT) with less cost. . This system is based on the principal of photometric measurement of light scattered by the milk sample. . The light is scattered by the fat globules present in the milk then by using this method with help of IOT module these reading can send over internet. And thus these actual values of fat content on the spot could be fetched by dairies anywhere by using IOT technology and farmers will be able to have increased values of milk as per market .The main advantage of this system is that there is no dependency of farmer over the specific dairies to determine the fat content and no experts will needed so as to calculate the milk content. Next Hop Selector for under Water Data Transmission using Geo Opportunistic Routing
-Shashikant ; Ramesh S. Jadhav
Submerged remote sensor systems (U-WSNs) have been appeared as an encouraging innovation to screen and investigate the seas in lieu of customary undersea wire line instruments. By the by, the information social occasion of UWSNs is still extremely constrained on account of the acoustic channel correspondence attributes. One approach to enhance the information accumulation in UWSNs is through the plan of steering conventions considering the one of a kind attributes of the submerged acoustic correspondence and the very unique system arrangements. Here we have considered a GE-DAR directing convention for U-WS-Ns. GE-DAR is any-cast, geographic and astute steering convention that courses information parcels from sensor hubs to various sono-buoys (sinks) at the ocean's surface. At the point when the hub is in a correspondence void area, GE-DAR changes to the recuperation mode technique which depends on arrangements control over the profundity modification of the void hubs, rather than the customary methodologies utilizing control messages to find and keep up directing ways along void areas. Reenactment comes about demonstrate that GEDAR signiï¬cantly enhances the system execution when contrasted and the benchmark arrangements, even in hard and difï¬cult portable situations of extremely inadequate and exceptionally thick systems and for high system trafï¬c loads. Design & Analysis of Natural Convection Heat Transfer in a Rectangular Finned Heat Sink
-Thara R ; Lohitesh Jaga Kumar; Naveen Kumar; Dr. Irfan G
In Natural convection heat transfer with the help of fin arrays, parameter are fin length to height ratio, spacing and orientation of geometry. In the longitudinally short fin array, where single chimney flow pattern is present hence heat transfer coefficient is high. In long rectangular fin arrays, air is stagnant at central zone hence it is not so much contributed in heat dissipation. In present study experimental setup is developed to studying the effect of natural convection over rectangular fin array. Fin spacing, height and heater input are the parameter study during experimentation. Lampblack coating is used to black fin surface. Flow patterns of various spacing’s are investigated using smoke flow visualization techniques. Most of the studies on natural convection have been considered constantly whereas velocity and temperature domain, do not change with time, transient one are used a lot. Governing equations are solved using a finite volume approach. The convective terms are discretized using the power-law scheme, whereas for diffusive terms the central difference is employed. Coupling between the velocity and pressure is made with SIMPLE algorithm. The resultant system of discretized linear algebraic equations is solved with an alternating direction implicit scheme. Then a configuration of rectangular fins is put in different ways on the surface and heat transfer of natural convection on these surfaces without sliding is studied and finally optimization is investigated. Brain Tumor Edge Detection based on GWT and DWT Fusioning
-C. Padma ; Dr. S. Nagaraja Rao
Brain tumor Edge detection plays a vital role in medical image processing. Edge of the image is one of the most significant features which is mainly used for image analyzing process. An edge is in general a border which separates the adjacent zones of image having distinct brightness. The development of an edge detector is often based on a specific characteristic of the image. An important property of the edge detection method is its ability to extract the accurate edge line with good orientation, and much literature on edge detection has been published in the past three decades. It is encountered in the areas of feature selection and feature extraction in Computer Vision. An edge detector accepts a digital image as input and produces an edge map as output. The edge maps of some detectors include explicit information about the position and strength of the edges and their orientation. An efficient algorithm for extracting the edge features of images using Gabor Wavelet and fusion technique is proposed in this work. Gabor wavelets can effectively abstract local and discrimination features. In textural analysis and image segmentation, GW features have achieved outstanding results, while in machine vision, they found to be effective in object detection, recognition and tracking. The most useful application of the Gabor Wavelets is for edge detection. Gabor wavelet along with DWT and fusion based approach is highly effective at detecting both the brain tumor location and orientation of edges. The results proved that the performance of proposed method is superior to conventional Gabor Wavelet and other edge detection algorithms. The performance of the proposed method is proved with the help of Entropy, PSNR & spectral analysis is also computed for proposed method edge detected output image, gabor wavelet edge detected output image, original input MRI brain image. Research Paper on Edge Detection Using Block based Segmentation
-Aarti Maan
Edge detection is an important image processing technique with wide range of applications. Several edge detection algorithms have been developed in the past few decades, however no single algorithm is suitable for all types of applications. Face recognition is one such important application in which edge detection plays a key role. Edge maps help in representing faces as a single unit. Here we survey the existing edge detection techniques and their suitability for extracting edges from facial images under noisy conditions. Then we introduce the proposed algorithm which is optimized for extracting edge maps from facial images under normal and noisy conditions. The proposed method is optimized for extracting edges from images corrupted by various types of noises. Performance of several existing edge detectors is severely degraded under noisy conditions. However, using the proposed method we are able to consistently detect good quality edge maps under various levels of noises. Read More...

Design an Interleaved Boost Converter for Power Factor Improvement of Single Phase AC-DC System
-Deepak Kumar ; Naveen Kumar Tiwari; Mr. Deepam Dubey
Power factor in an AC electrical power system is described as the ratio of the actual power passing though the load to the virtual power flowing through the circuit or the cosine angle of the potential and charge of an AC circuit. A phase difference Ø exists between the potential and charge of an AC circuit and cosine which is called the circuit's power factor. Suppose we get an inductive circuit we generally get the lagging by the voltage and that will be called a lagging power factor. And suppose we get the capacitive circuit then the current will be leading by the voltage and that will be referred as a leading power factor. The usage of power electronic system has reached to a new application stage that include residential, commercial, and aerospace and many others. Power electronic interfaces e.g. Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) have proved to be superior over traditional linear power supplies. However their nonlinear behavior puts a question mark on their efficiency. The current drawn by the SMPS from the line is distorted resulting in a high Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and low Power Factor (PF). Other adverse effects on the power system includes increased magnitudes of neutral current in three phase systems, overheating of transformers and induction motors etc. Therefore there is a continuous need of power factor improvement and reduction of line current harmonics. A large range of PFC circuits have been proposed with diverse operating modes to solve the situation. These PFC circuits adjust the waveforms of the current in the input side so that the maximum power can be tapped from the supplies. The current in this situation is free from all the lower as well as higher order harmonics thus copies the input voltage waveform. So this causes the current in the circuit to be at the lowest possible value to do the same work. the losses associated with circuit are reduced. Hence the consumption in power is reduced greatly. Boost converter accomplishes this active power-factor correction (ACMC) in discontinuous as well as in continuous modes. Read More...

-Rupesh Ingole ; P T Nitnaware
The main objective of this work is to enhance the performance of the domestic refrigerator .To attain this analysis is carried using the combination three different refrigerants (R134a, R290 and R404a) & three different inner diameters (0.3mm, 0.45mm, 0.50mm) of capillary tube. Comparing the performance parameters of the refrigeration system with different refrigerants & different capillary tube by keeping ambient temperature and compressor discharge constant for all the combinations, it is found that the COP of the system is better for the capillary diameter of 0.30mm for all three refrigerants R134a, R290 and R404a. As we increases the diameter of capillary tube the cop tends to decrease. Whereas, refrigeration effect value did not follow any regular trend. Highest cop value for refrigerant R134a is recorded for 0.30mm diameter of capillary tube which is 3.94. For R290 it is recorded as 3.19, for capillary diameter of 0.30mm. The same size of capillary (i.e. 0.30mm) gives optimum value of cop for R404a, which is 1.46. Read More...

Implementation of Password and GSM Based Lineman Safety System on Power Lines
-Narava Sai Kumar ; Bolla Vinod; Ch Sidhvik; I S S S Anvesh; Sk I Basha
The electric lineman safety system makes use of a new concept of password and GSM. Due to the lack of communication and co-ordination between the maintenance staff and the electric substation staff linemen are suffering from fatal accidents while repairing lines. Hence to avoid this we are implementing a password and GSM based lineman safety system on power lines. These passwords provide total control to the system to turn on or off the supply to each line. For example, line man has the control to turn ON/OFF the line. If there is a problem in any section of the supply line, then staff wants to turn off that line and repair it. For that the using a matrix keypad he can enter it in the system. Then the system compares the entered password with the generated password. If the passwords are matched, then the supply to that line will be made OFF. He can also control the line using mobile. After completion of his work he can turn on the line by using the password. This ensures security of the worker because no one can turn on the line without his permission. In addition to this to save electrical energy automatic lighting system also included in this project. Incremental Sheet Forming with Flexible Hydraulic Supports
-Sajal Bansal ; Dr. Pankaj Agarwal
Incremental sheet forming is an innovative process having ability to fulfill demands for customized sheet metal parts without using costly dies unlike traditional forming processes. However, shape deviation of formed parts is one of the drawbacks which need technological developments to use ISF on shop floor. Backdrawing, use of half dies and customized toolpaths are some of the techniques being worked out for reducing shape deviation but have some limitations. The present work investigates the hydraulic supports developed to reduce shape deviation of the non-axisymmetric parts formed through SPIF. Simulations were carried out with different geometries to check the effectiveness of the hydraulic support process. Results show a significant improvement in the parts formed using hydraulic support process over those formed without using it. This work gives another method for forming components with reduced bending. Also it proposes a new method of using hydraulic supports as flexible die which doesn’t needs to be changed with the part geometry. Read More...

-Sachin Borkar ; V. N. Mujbaile; P. G. Mehar
This article discusses the significance of adaptive control of the modified suspension arm over the existing standard suspension strut used in the four wheeler suspension assembly. The objective is to increase control over vehicle during a sharp turn. In this paper we have compared the major aspects of safety and vehicle control during cornering at increased speeds. While making the modifications, the existing conventional suspension system is retained, adding a new component which can certainly adapt according to changing conditions of load on vehicle. This gives more flexibility to the un-sprung mass which lies over the suspension assembly to counteract with incoming unbalanced forces at corners. The conditions could be simulated by use of software before using it in actual prototype. The main advantage of this modification is reduced chances of body roll even at high speed corners. A Review Paper on Modulation and Control of Transformerless UPFC
-Sonali Tarle ; V. R. Aarenke
A modulation and control method for the new transformerless unified power flow controller (UPFC) is proposed in this paper. To overcome this problem, a completely transformerless UPFC based on an innovative configuration of two cascade multilevel inverters has been proposed. The conventional UPFC that consists of two back-to-back inverters requires bulky and often complicated zigzag transformers for isolation and reaching high power rating with desired voltage waveforms. The new UPFC offers several advantages over the traditional technology, such as transformerless, light weight, high efficiency, low cost and fast dynamic response. This paper focuses on the modulation and control for this new transformerless UPFC, including optimized fundamental frequency modulation for low total harmonic distortion and high efficiency, independent active and reactive power control over the transmission line, dc-link voltage balance control, etc. By using the simulation results we can analyze the both the steady-state and dynamic-response results.
