Electro-oculography describes an eye-gaze interface using a biological signal, electro-oculorgram (EOG). This interface enables a user to move a computer cursor on a graphical user interface using eye gaze movement alone. It will be useful as a communication aid for individuals with mobility handicaps. Although EOG is easily recordable, drifting and blinking problems must be solved to produce a reliable eye-gaze interface. To support the myriad of envisioned communication products of the future, there is a need to develop a network infrastructure that can provide larger bandwidth, with better control of quality of service (QoS). However, with increasing demand for applications running over packet networks, congestion at the intermediate nodes (e.g., routers and switches) can be a serious problem. Consequences include long delays, large delay variation and high packet loss rates. Different solutions requiring varying levels of modification to the currently used algorithms have been proposed both for responsive (e.g., TCP) and unresponsive (e.g., UDP) protocols. However, most of the solutions are either too complicated to implement in real life or not general enough to be applicable to an arbitrary network topology. In this project a new AQM algorithm ICU AQM (Isolate and Control- AQM) which effectively detects unresponsive flows and controls them based on the network load status is proposed in order to strengthen the robustness of Internet against unresponsive flows. ICU AQM algorithm is used to detect and isolate the unresponsive flows which in turn results in protection to responsive flows. The project work is simulated using NS2. The results are compared with other AQM algorithms to show the increase in the performance of the proposed algorithm.

The paper explores a new Public Key Cryptosystem, which uses Single Master-Key Technique to delegate the data/files from one user(say sender A) to the other user (say receiver B).This cryptosystem produces a fixed-size (comparatively small) ciphertexts such that, the rights of decrypting any set of ciphertexts can be transferred efficiently in cloud. This could be possible by generating a concise key-we call it as single-master key- which encompasses the power of all the encryption key of the set of data/files to be transferred. The other files/data will be kept secure and confidential. This concise key can be sent to others or can be stored in a smart card and it requires very limited and secure storage.

In sugar factory, the exhaust condensate from process house taken to the boiler feedwater tank (storage tank) then by transfer pump it pumps to deaerator. After deaeration, through boiler feed pump, pumps to boiler. But in modified system, the exhaust condensate from process house to direct deaerator eliminating the feed water tank and transfer pump which saves water flashing, vapour loss and also saves energy of pump operation. By implementing the new method by eliminating the feedwater water tank and feedwater transfer pump, the exhaust steam saved up-to 2.057 MT/hr, as well as deaerator water temperature will be increased up to 106 to 107 oC and save the water flashing, vapour loss and also saves energy of pump operation and finally boiler efficiency increased about 3.98%.

This paper describes some results of the research in the area of multiple spark ignition engines In the single spark plug engine there is a high exhaust emission and low break thermal efficiency because of incomplete combustion .To overcome this problem new dual spark plug engine is developed. Dual spark ignition system has proved their potential in improving the performance of the engines and improved emissive characteristics as compared with the single spark plug ignition system. Recently a new type engine has been introduced which uses triple spark plugs at different location, controlled by an advanced electronic control unit. This advanced electronic control unit uses three different ignition timings with variable spark plug number. Experiments were conducted at different load conditions and different types of engines has proved that dual spark plug ignition engines are surely better than a single spark plug engine ,but triple spark ignition engines has proved their potential .It is experimentally investigated that in the single spark plug mode the centrally located spark plug is most effective and gives best performance. In the dual ,triple and four spark plug mode if the central location of the spark plug is not possible because of the design of the engine than spark plugs were considered to be located diametrically opposite to each other on cylinder head axis symmetrically. According to Dimensionless distance from the cylinder centre to spark plug location on cylinder head, rsd = rs/R, five locations (rsd = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.0) were considered. Inevitably rsd = 0 corresponds to the single spark arrangement that the plug is located at the centre. To comparison, single-spark plug configurations were also considered for other selected spark plug locations. Current paper investigate the effect of multi spark plug to the single spark plug on the basis of the performance of engine and emissive characteristics of engine. The result shown that the considerable improvement in the performance of engine output and considerable reduction in BSFC,HC and Co emission in multi spark plug mode.

In the present work, the mechanism of damping in layered and jointed structures with connecting rivet have been extensively studied. A lot of experiments have been conducted on a number of specimens with connecting rivet of various diameters, length and thickness to study its effect on the damping capacity of the layered and jointed structures and to establish the authenticity of the theory developed. Intensity of interface pressure, diameter of the connected rivet, length and thickness of beam, number of layers, kinematic coefficient of friction at the interfaces and frequency and amplitude of excitation are found to play a major role on the damping capacity of such structures. This design concept of using layered structures with riveted joints can be effectively utilized in trusses and frames, aircraft and aerospace structures, bridges, machine members, robots and many other applications where higher damping is required.

This work deals with the analysis of Free Standing Jib Crane using Finite Element Method. Modeling of the parts is done using Finite Element based software ANSYS. Initially two-dimensional analysis of simple beam and simple column is done to check the suitability of type of element in three dimensional analysis. Besides, comparison of the results of these simple Finite Element models is done using the analytical solutions to ensure that mesh density used for the analysis gives correct results. Then analysis of complete jib crane is carried out using two-dimensional model. Further, the results obtained are used for the validation of the three-dimensional model. 8 Node Brick 45 (SOLID45) elements are used for meshing of three-dimensional model. For loading, various factors such as trolley weight and dynamic factor are taken into consideration. The trolley weight considered is 15% of the rated capacity of the crane. For impact loading, dynamic factor is taken into account. The value of dynamic factor is 25% of the rated capacity of crane. Thus crane is analyzed at a total factor of 1.4 of the capacity of the crane. During the post-processing maximum deformation & Von Mises Stresses are observed. Effect of various parameters like web thickness, web height and load is studied systematically.
